Eintracht Frankfurt Museum

During leisure time, at work, in the Römer or at the opera: Eintracht Frankfurt is present wherever you look in the city. Frankfurt’s famous sports club looks back on more than a century of history. In the grandstand of the Commerzbank Arena (Commerzbank-Arena), where fans tremble with their team, the Eintracht Frankfurt Museum dedicates over 400 square metres to the thrilling ups and downs of the traditional club’s fortunes. Here, you can see the charter of the Eintracht predecessor “Victoria” from 1899, the original ball from the 1960 European Cup final against Real Madrid, and many cups, football shirts and shoes of unforgettable heroes. More than 300 exhibits, audio clips from contemporary witnesses and film excerpts from great games bring to life the period from when the club was founded, through sports during the National Socialist period, to the great successes with title victories and the bitter defeats when the team was relegated.

The focus of the presentation is on the “leather”. But other divisions of the club are also presented, and great sporting events and the sporting history of Frankfurt are documented. In addition to public tours, other ones can be arranged directly, also in combination with a tour of the stadium. The museum also organises special presentations and lectures and has prepared educational offerings such as projects with schools, museum rallies, guided tours for children and children’s birthdays.
